Also note, I bought whatever I bought over a Fiesta ST and I regret it none at all.

Not that one, but an identical twin of it.

Nice Audi bro
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:00 |

No. That’s just a string of letters that does not form any sort of word or sentence.

Was it a 1.8t Jetta with a 5 speed?

Look around a little bit

A couple friends drive Jettas, never heard a bad thing. One wished he got the A3 1.4 though.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:02 |

Yup.
The Audi was ready to retire and I'm entering a chapter in my life.

Should have gotten the rental spec. It’s so nice.

If it’s a manual Jetta Sport I will be mildly jealous. One of those is like a semi-affordable want for me right now.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:03 |
|
We don't get those, so the Jetta was the next best thing. Check out my previous post for the same trim that the one I bought is.

1970 beetle 4spd?

You’re a pretty girl in a Jetta, so yes
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:03 |

You’re here forever.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:04 |

I did, haha. Got an excellent deal and I love it so far.
It blew me away how well it drove and felt for a sub 20k car.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:05 |
|
Good.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:07 |
|
Yeeeeeah, probably a 1.4t. You're just lucky you didn't get a 2.slow.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:07 |
|
You got a Jetta didn’t you.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:07 |

You trade in the Audi?
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:07 |

Manual Golf wagon?????

That's my house key, haha.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:07 |

Whoo! I approve greatly. I expect a full review coming soon.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:08 |
|
I didn't trade it.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:08 |
|
Not unless you trade in the Jetta for an Audi, BMW, Lexus, or maybe an uplevel Jeep.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:08 |
|
Muuuccchh Jelly. Congrats!
VW has really brought the current gen Jetta up to snuff since the 2011 model with it’s bargain basement everything.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:09 |
|
Gold house key! Baller!
Nah by the comments it sounds like you bought the Jetta. Which had a fantastic interior!
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:09 |
|
Nice, here we only get the 2.0 NA which is a 120HP lump of awfulness and the 2.0 TSI. If your interior trim is like the one in the previous post I envy you, it looks understated and cool.
For some reason VW decided all the upscale Jettas should have fake wood interiors here, I don’t like it.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:10 |

Thanks!
They really have gotten their act together. The Sport models are a prime example of how much car you can get, for so little money. Rather than how little car you can get, for so little money.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:10 |
|
Kick ass
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:11 |
|
It’s the exact car as the last post.
The 2.slow really is a shit engine. The 0-60 is like 11.4 seconds or something.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:12 |
|
Did you sell it privately and put that cash down? Are you a one-car man now?
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:13 |
|
Could you review it? I might actually consider getting one since they are about to launch the 1.4 TSi here.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:13 |
|
Paid in full, still have the Audi though.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:14 |
|
I'll probably do that in the next week! I'll let you know when it goes up.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:15 |
|
I thought the car had good power. If that was a 1.4 color me supprised.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:16 |
|
Or is it a SEAT Toldeo or a Skoda Rapid?
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:16 |
|
Mmm dat ownership
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:18 |
|
Also, there is a volume control on the steering wheel.
Also also, most cars have plastic interiors.
Also, also, also they're fairly well optioned for the price.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:24 |
|
You guys don’t get the Polo or the UP! and the Golf doesn’t compare to the Fiesta so I have no idea what you just bought. So I shall wait with baited breath.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:30 |
|
Okay now I’m gonna bust your balls here. Did you sour on your A6 ownership overall? You seemed to have only owned it so briefly. And it can’t possibly measure up to this new car now.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:33 |
|
Honesty, I just needed a newer DD......... And something happened to the Audi that costs $4,000 to repair.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:36 |
|
!!!
4k... Shit I’m not even going to guess. But I expect an explanation at some point!
So what will you do with Audi? Mull it over or sell it or fix n sell?
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:41 |
|
Let’s see.
They’re all technically “wear items.” So I don’t blame the car.
New clutch: $3,000
Wheel bearing: $500
02 sensors: $1,500
Ac work: $1,000-ish
Thermostat: $1,500
So it needs $7,500 of work to be running perfect. Instead of dealing with that shit, I took the money and bought a new Jetta Sport.
It’s still a cosmetically good car with low mileage, I’ll probably sell it as is. Luckily, I won’t be losing much money.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:47 |
|
Daaaayum. Dude how is that clutch so expensive??
Kudos for just getting a new car. An old A6 is not worth $7500 more to buy time, just like my one tercel wasn’t worth... [mumbles and trails off]
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:51 |
|
Also, also, also, also I swear up and down there was no volume control on the steering wheel. I pushed all the buttons many times!
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:52 |
|
look at the two buttons on the left side of the steering wheel that are closest to the bottom of it yo. Those control the volume.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:53 |
|
Germans and over engineering everything. That's my only rational explanation. The next owner probably can sort all that shit out on his own time though.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 22:59 |
|
Fucking hell. So I drove around for two days and didn’t notice that the volume buttons were on the wrong side of the steering wheel. I’m usually smart about these things, I mean I’ve figured out myfordtouch.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 23:06 |
|
Yes sir.. Those buttons do a lot of other things also, haha.it confused me originally also, I'm so used to having them on the right side.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 23:47 |

AWESOME! Congrats on the purchase, show us some pictures please!

I haven’t taken many good ones yet, but it’s quite literally identical to this car: http://oppositelock.kinja.com/these-are-nice…

The GLI was too pricey for me

Good choice man. better be chipped soon! :D
